Dev-Diary: 109

I can finally talk about the good news~!

Management In Space, which long-time readers may know as that experimental space-management game I worked on many years ago, just got some start-up funding~! :’D

Thanks to the wonderful people over at Screen Australia, we’ve been able to work on a new prototype build of the game. It isn’t a full production fund, but it is enough money to work on this project for a few months to develop an initial build. This build will then be used to apply for further funding, as well as presented to potential investors and publishers. So we’re not there yet, but it is the much needed and wonderfully welcomed support that was needed to get something off the ground.

We’re so excited to be able to not only be able to work on this project again, and this time with a more professional and experienced mindset, but also to have this opportunity at all! Because of this, we’re able to present this prototype to both GCAP and SXSW Sydney in October of this year (which will be the only places you can play this build as it isn’t for the general public… yet~).

We’ve already been working hard on the game for about 2 months now, and have come so far! We’re going to share some screenshots for the latest build of the prototype, but we’re hoping it’ll come even further in the next few weeks before convention time.

You can see the full official announcement from Screen Australia over [here]. Again, we’re super thankful to everyone at Screen Australia for this opportunity, and we’re going to keep trying our best to deliver an amazing game! That’s it from us for today, so till next time, all the best~
